I have a Glock 19 as my current carry/nightstand gun. But I haven't owned any other polymer framed guns other than micro guns (PF-9, CM9).

I'm not super invested in Glock. Some mags, holsters, etc; but that's it.

I shoot it well, it carries nicely, and is pretty snag-free.

Given that a gun is reliable and combat-accurate, what sold me on the Glock is the choice of sizes with commonality of mags and platform. And weight.

I've also found that comparing to other guns, the Glock 19 hits a sweet spot in ability to carry while still being very capable when it comes to shooting and capacity.

So, given that, what are some guns that I should consider as a possible replacement to the Glock?

I have a G19 also that I carry and rotate with my XD 9 3" sub that Ive had and carried since 03'. Theyre not for everybody same as Glock but I like them. I bought the newer Mod.2 3" sub last summer and have started carrying it also.

Walther PPQ M2. About the same size as a G-19, but a superior trigger pull and the grip is a lot more comfortable. I have an M2 Navy and it carries as easily as my G-19.

I really like the Springfield XDM 3.8 compact. It carries well, shoots great and comes the the option to insert a full size 19 round mag with a grip extension on it to make it a full size grip. You can also add a a pinky extension to the flush fit mag.

Nothing wrong with the M&P line either. The M&P-9 Compact is pretty nice. (Still prefer the G19 though).

I have 3 M&P's, I guess you could call me a "fanboy" but I like the grip and it feels better to me than other guns.

Another Glock? I still defend my arguments in the 40s not dead yet thread but it's damn hard to beat a Glock 19.
