I'm wanting to put a scope on my Model 60 but don't know the first thing about scopes. From what I've gathered, once it's installed it needs to be aligned? I'm just unsure what it takes to get a scope properly set up a scope, and which scope I should get that's under $60.

Thanks for any help!

You may get a few opinions here but for a .22 you don't need anything fancy. On my 10/22 I just have one of those BSA .22 scopes you can get at Academy for like $25. It is a fixed 4x. Think it's a 32 mm. Plenty for that gun.

I think WM has some that come with rings.
Think they might be a Simmons scope.
Most of the low end scopes work fine on a plinker.
Fixed or variable power as long as its got a low setting.
I've got a cheapie 3-9X on one of mine.
Spends most of it's time set on 3X.
If you end up needing help mounting it pm me and I'll help you set it up.

Awesome, thanks for all of the replies.

But is there anything I need to do after installing the scope? Like aligning it or anything of the such?

There's nothin' to it. Get the crosshairs as close to level as you can and sight it at a target of 50 yards or so. The scope will have windage (side to side) and elevation (up and down) adjustments. After firing, look thru your scope to see where you hit in relation to the target and adjust the scope til the bullet hits right where you want it. For 22s I like to get see-thru scope mounts so you can either use the scope or the sights mounted on the rifle. This is optional though and costs more money since you have to get the mounts to do so. Have fun. Those model 60s are great.
