Yesterday afternoon, I heard a new sound near my neighborhood -- full auto :fullauto: . It is somewhere in northern Creek County, west of Highway 97 and north of Sapulpa. I live at 138th West Avenue and the Tulsa/Creek County line. I could hear the shooting to my southwest. It initially was single shots but then went to burst/sustained fire. I am not aware of any range in that area but have only lived here since the spring.

Anyone familiar with a range/shooting location in that area? Anyone want to let a brother in on some fun??

It was on private property. I know the guy that was going out to shoot full auto on 71st between 97 and 145th.

Thanks for verifying what my ears heard. If you have knowledge you can share, would you care to ID the actual ordnance being expended? My guess is non-US .30 caliber -- would I be right?
