Does anyone have any info on these, good, bad or indifferent? I'm familiar with the Sportsman model, but came across this pic of a snubby .22 premier and thought I might need to locate one for myself.

The older H&R topbreaks, such as the one you've shown, were made to compete with S&W in the late 19th and early 20th century. They were not the quality of the S&W topbreaks, and were always plauged with problems, from accuracy, timing, to springs breaking. Even after so many years they are still cheap to buy, and most carry little if any collectors value.

As a display item, these old topbreaks are cool. Otherwise, what idp4570 said. If you decide to shoot one of these, get it thoroughly vetted by a good smith first. CB
