I've never been to Banner road before so I would like some info cause I wanna go visit this weekend.

1. Is this a members only gunrange or can I pay a fee and shoot like at H&H?
2. How long is the rifle range?
3. Are there restrictions on the kinds of ammo you can use? (armor piercing, etc.)
4. Where exactly is Banner road shooting range?

Anything else you can think of, I would appreciate it.

1) open to the public, pay $10 shoot all day.
2) 50 and 100 yards
3) probably, ask when you get there. I've only shot copper jacket lead there.
4) I-40 West to Banner Road (few miles west of the last Yukon exit). South on Banner just past the Banner School, turn west (right) for about 1.5 miles, there's a sign along the road. should find it easy nuff.

Handguns and rifles allowed, no shotguns or shotgun rounds (like in a judge) allowed.

Others may have more info.

Costs 8 dollars a day for all day.

Up to 100 yards. Can shoot as close as 50 with a rifle. 25 with a rimfire rifle.

No restrictions as far as I know except no tracers. No rapid fire i.e. more than 1 round per second.

I 40 west to Banner Road.

South on Banner Road to Jensen Road(just past the school)

1.5 miles west turn south onto dirt road going south. The sign is marked "Canadian Ranges'.

This Saturday he is having a service rifle match. Starts at 8 AM usually takes a couple of hours or so to finish. Bring your AR or M1 out and give it a try or you can just watch until you're board. I will be there showing everybody how bad I can shoot.

Costs $8 for all day.....anything but shotguns...pistol sections 10-25yds.....rifle sections 50yd and 100yd. Easiest way to get there is take old 66 out of Yukon...you'll come to a flasing yellow by the town of Banner.....another mile west take the section rd south (you turn at the Canadian County Juvie Lockup) over the I40 Bridge, take the next right (Jennings or Jensen Rd), go about 1/4 west. On the south side of the road is a small sign that sez Canadian Valley Range....turn in and proceed to the little office bldg (might wanna have yr earplugs in b4 ya get outa the car.....

Forgot to ask questions about the service rifle competetion.

1. How many rounds is it?
2. What time is sign up?
3. How are the stages set up? Standing, prone?
4. Iron sights only or can I use my Eotech?

1. I'd take at least 100 rounds
2. Don't know
3. Don't know
4. If it's actually a service rifle match, I'd be prepared to use open sights.

Also, plan on taking at least 4 magazines. 2 for the match and 2 for back-up and a sling.

Todays match was the last one for the season.

58 rounds-8 sighters and 50 rounds for score.

sign up at 7-730 start of match at 8:00 am

match goes like this;

2 sighters any position

10 shots off hand, standing in 10 minutes

2 sighters any position

10 shots standing to sitting in 60 seconds

2 sighters any position

10 shots standing to prone in 70 seconds

2 sighters any position

10 shots prone slowfire in 10 minutes

10 shots prone slowfire in 10 minutes

service rifle matches are iron sights only but you could talk him into letting you shoot "just for fun", maybe.

I didn't realize today was the last match of the season until after the match (have to make room for the deer hunters, once a year sighteriners). Todays weather was perfect. The sun didn't come out until after the match was over.

With a possible 500 as a perfect score I shot a 405. A personal best for me.
