Are the Colt Diamondback and the Diamondback the same gun? I have heard lot of bad things about the diamondback, Google Diamondback reviews.

No they are not the same. The Colt Diamondback is a revolver made on the Police Positive frame, and made to look like a downsized Python. In .22lr or .38spl, they are some very accurate revolvers.

Have had both 22 & 38. Fine guns and with today's prices I wish I still had them so I could sell them again.
Not to start a debate but years ago I sold them in favor of another brand.

I had a 6" Diamondback 22lr a few years ago. It had nice blue and polish, it was a beautiful gun with a nice slick action. I just did not like the sights at all, they were too low and hard to see. What can I say, I'm more of a S&W man. Here's a picture of it.
