Anyone know where to buy some 16 gauge shells at? I have a older single shot 16 gauge shotgun that I would like to shoot. I would like to know of any place that has it in the OKC metro area. Thanks for any info.

I found some at Bass Pro and Academy on the north side. I too have an old single shot that I inherited from my dad. Gonna take it out and let my son shoot it. Someday, I will give it to him.

Right, bass pro and any Academy, I think. I worked at the south store , several years ago. they carried both Rem. and Fed., with Rem being a little cheaper. Thing was, they only carried a case or 2 at a time in, several shot sizes. 6, 71'2. and 8 I think. Some times it wouldn't be on the shelf, but still in the case, stacked in the short Isle. Bass Pro, a couple, years ago had a good supply of Rem. but was a little higher. I shoot the 16 also.

Surprisingly enough the Ponca city Walmart carries federal 16 ga. I have an A5 sweet 16 that is a dream to shoot.
If your local Walmart doesn't carry it, ask the sporting goods manager to start, or order it on Walmart.com. Free shipping if you pick it up at the store.

Yep, Walmart. My closest one had a few boxes and the price isn't too bad. Still more expensive than 12 and 20 but it's understandable. I also saw some at Atwoods the other day. I recently scored a 16 myself so I've been on the lookout for shells.

Took me 20 years but now I have Stevens 311 doubles in 12, 16, 20, and 410. :woohoo1:
