I was wondering if any of you good folks shot the 178 grain Amax? I am currently using 44 grains of IMR 4064. It groups very well. I have noticed a half mil drop between 100 and 200 yards. What are your experiences?

Thats what a buddy of mine shoots in his 308. Right at 32' of drop at 1000.

I am getting .5 mil drop between 100-200 yards. That's exactly what my 168 SMK was doing.

Yeah Ill ask him. I dont think he has ever ran it over a chrono though.
Today I shot 300,400,500 yards.

Shot much better than expected.
Winchester in the white box at walmart shot very poorly. At least I now have 100 brass reload able cases to start with.
