I prefer GI, because as DH pointed out, it makes take down easier.

But, I don't care so much I'm going to replace the full length rod in my E series.

Basically, I'll just run what came with the gun, unless it seems to cause trouble.

I have heard the 'ol times swear by FLGR in their wad guns and I guess there may be something to their insistence on their use, BUT with proper link and bushing to barrel fit, a good slide to frame fit and a decent trigger I will shoot anything.

I'm the same way, prefer the GI setup but not going to stress out about it.
