I have a friend who has recently come into possession of some interesting handguns. This first one: Looks to be 1915 Luger also looks like matched serial numbers. Not sure of the rest. Haven't seen the mag to see if that is matched, but going to assume it is not.

Any one have any ideas on value on this thing? The sister's husband passed away and the wife is left with these and hasn't got a clue. Have a few more S&Ws that I'll post in a bit.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Dave

Doc,
I believe that is a standard issue valued between 600-1200 based on condition of course. I say that due to the DWC (maybe) engraving on the top. Maybe a better pic of that engraving could assist someone as many were marked there by special unit I believe.

I hated to look at the gun value board, but there are some pretty good pro's there.

The Artillery Lugers bring more value than the standard issue Lugers. 1915 would be during the period of WW-I. The finish looks a little rough, but I wouldn’t do anything except clean it up to keep is from rusting. Do the numbers all match? BIG plus if they do. If it’s like my standard Luger and you completely disassemble it there are numbers all over the place.
