Similar problem - I think I might have the same tile as you, although thankfully the tub's white. I did have gawdawful black with salmon colored flowers wallpaper to contend with though. If my tub was the same awful color as my tile, I'd be thinking about having some pros come in and either glaze over it, which is supposed to be pretty durable, or install plastic over it. For just the walls, there are plastic overlay shower wall kits you can buy from Lowe's for about $100, or a variety of re-finishing methods that are supposed to be pretty permanent. Here are some links of methods that I've considered: Durable paint designed for tile/counters: http://www.armorpoxy.com/bath-and-kitchen/?gclid=CJS47aGzgaoCFQjf4AodSShwzA Professional refinishing: http://www.miraclemethod.com/ http://www.countertopsplustubs.com/1%20Portfolio%20CT1.htm Plastic surround: http://www.lowes.com/pd_55712-332-39564_4294806502_4294933768_?productId=1245713&Ns=p_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr|0||p_product_quantity_sold|1&pl=1¤tURL=%2Fpl_Bathtub%2BWall%2BSurrounds_4294806502_4294933768_%3FNs%3Dp_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr|0||p_product_quantity_sold|1&facetInfo=
