I would be surprised if that Bronco II is worth more than a couple hundred bucks.

I don't know if she has this option in her area but I contacted LKQ Pick-A-Part when I had a 4WD Ford Escape that I couldn't sell or give away. They came and got it and wrote me a check right on the spot. Very easy, no hassle transaction.

This will only work to her advantage if she has a large tax liability and being retired maybe does not.

Yep. You get a possible $500 charitable deduction on your taxes without receipts. Anything over that requires receipts.
Here is what happens. You donate the vehicle or boat to Kars for Kids or something like that. They come tow it off for free and run it through an auction. If it makes more than $500 they give you a receipt that can be used for a tax deduction. If it doesn't make $500 in the auction, they give you a $500 receipt to be used on your taxes. You can't use it on top of the $500 you can claim without receipts, so basically you just gave the vehicle/boat away.
You have to trust them to do you right as there is no record of what auction they send it through.
Parting it out will put money in the pocket with them removing the parts and calling a scrapper to take away the frame, etc that's left.
