If accuracy is very important would a barrel 5.5" or longer make a significant difference when using a red dot or reflex sight?

The length of the barrel itself will not affect accuracy. It will however change the velocity, which will change the drop. But there is not that much change in an inch or so anyhow. Maybe 30-60 fps. The quality of the barrel and ammo is where the accuracy comes from.
