Did anyone attend the service yesterday? I stood on the median on 61st near Yale, the procession was incredible, I was so glad to see the support from all of the folks that were there.
I posted the video of the entire procession, but I wondered what the crowd was like along the route. There were... I dunno, maybe 50 people or so outside the cemetery where David (@MilitantBEEMER) and I were standing.
I had hoped for more folks, but there was a decent turnout around the intersections I think.
The bike escort was amazing, must have been my allergies, my eyes were watering a lot...
I was just east of the hill past sheridan at the QT. Quite a few of us there, and further down was a bike club and a jeep club. Good turnout. 2nd the amazing escort and it was dusty for sure.... or something.
Yeah I put on an old pair of sunglasses with a bad prescription to “cover” the dust tears. (Bad part was a jet flew over and I thought it was a helicopter because of those old glasses)
I managed to get into the service. It was impressive, to say the least and heartwarming to see how many strangers turned out to support Craig and TPD. I knew him professionally, and I think he'd be more than a bit bemused at the turnout (he was a very unassuming guy that just so happened to keep turning out great work), but he deserved every bit of it.
My A/C was getting fixed and didn't get it done in time for me to go. After three days it was finally fixed today. I'm so glad you all were able to attend and report back. Thanks so much.
