My daughter has had no problem killing em with 3" #5 pheasant loads. Don't get too caught up with the latest whiz bang turkey loads. I did A LOT of testing with my 12 ga setup. The best patterns I get are with Win XX loads the ones with the old school fiber wad base and a thin plastic sleeve between the shot and hull.
