Put it out now and use 1 part sugar to 3 parts water. Clean at least once/week.
We use a 1-3 mix early on, have tons of nectar in the flowering plants around, so we go to 4-1 ratio.
I go to the store once a week and pick up 10lbs of sugar. I'm sure they think I'm a moonshiner. LOL

Got me a limit last night on hummingbirds! Was out at the shop working on mower and looked up and saw this...
Thought it was fake at first, climbed up and knocked it down with a broom. I guess it got locked in the shop and died sitting on the wire and just swung upside down. I had never got to look at one up close, beautiful little bird.
The front feathers were the coolest. They were almost black from any angle but straight ahead, but looking head on to him it looked like he had a brake light glowing.
We wrapped him in bacon and threw him on the grill. Not too gamey.

Wow that video is awesome. I keep telling the wife we need to set a feeder out but she says we're not old enough for that yet LOL.
