Guys, new here to this site. Thanks for having me. Also, a newly awarded 100% VA disability. But here's the problem with that: that award determination was for PTSD. Let's ignore that the VA recognized my tinnitus, also acknowledged hearing loss, documented sleep apthnea, etc. Much of this occurring in VN in 1970-71. I wrestle with some of that, but never with anything that would have me "listening to a dog tell me to recreate a Son of Sam scenario." ;) Add to that, and contrary to my missus of 45 years, I am most certainly NOT crazy. LOL I've never been committed for mental issues. At 68 years young, I have NO plans of starting that process, either. I've never committed a felony, been arrested, or been considered a threat to anyone else, real or imagined...including myself. So: I'm looking for a "definitive source/location" that will verify, conclusively, that I "can/can not" get a weapon for our home defense, or a carry permit for same. I've read so many blogs and articles that it has become overwhelming and downright confusing with all of the contrary comments. Here's what I've boiled it down to: best sense seems to be a visit to the OSBI? Is there a written "hard and fast" ruling somewhere, sirs? Thoughts, gentlemen?
