I'm not sure what's going on. My granddaughter and I have seen a little 8 pt, a spike and 2 doe. Been in the stand since 6:00am and still here. We haven't heard but 3 shots all morning.

There are 4 of us hunting this 760 acre tract and none of us are seeing activity. What gives?

Talked to a hunter of ours this morning. He said that a buck that he's been after for 6yrs was right outside his stand this morning. The buck lived since the left side of his rack was broken off. The right side looked pretty cool but the hunter said the left side was even cooler.

My 13 year old daughter said she watched 5 different doe come down a tree line and she said, “It was weird. Every one of them stopped and licked the same branch as they passed by, and the biggest doe just kept licking it for like 10 mins.” She is normally a pretty savvy hunter, but maybe I never taught her about licking branches and rut. With that much activity at that licking branch, now she wants to grab lunch and get back out there.
