Some of mine may be shedding velvet. Come to think of if they disappeared last year for a day or 2 and came back without velvet.
I set out after mowing and fixing some trailer lights tonight to set out some cameras and scout some doves but got a late start and came back. Waste of time and gas to go 45 miles to the farms.

90% of mine have shed in the last 4 days. They all shrank! Lol. I got plenty for the family to go after though. I have a 9 with some stickers I’m hoping to run into. I’m thinking he’s 145, will be a beautiful mount. Also set up some blinds this weekend. Second discing on the plots after this rain Sunday as well. My 7x6 is is definitely a 3 or 4 year old. But every year I pass a deer like this only to see them disappear. I shot a 153 3 year old couple years back. Sad to look at his mount but I know the neighbors would’ve shot him for sure. So I wouldn’t judge anyone for taking him. I know I won’t let the ol lady hunt alone on that place though
