Okay, not exactly a "prospect" given it's in the Colorado Springs city limits but thought I'd share with y'all anyways!
Deer activity at my places has been unusual this year. Places I usually just have bachelor groups of bucks and few or no doe are all doe and no bucks this year. Places I've not been able to keep enough feed out isn't getting hit like normal. Farming is the same, corn, beans and milo around of which almost all if it is harvested. That usually drives them back into the cover and my pics increase 100x but this year they seemed to have vanished after harvest. Places I usually just get nocturnal pics I'm getting day pics and vise versa. No acorns, hogs or lions around so not sure what's up.Acorns are everywhere now after the storms. As expected though, just wanted another week without them. Hardly any pics last few days. My places that are usually guaranteed to have big deer don’t have squat yet and usually do. The One place that has multiple shooters, the bucks have moved away from the main plot and where I’ve been feeding, to other feeders on the edges of the property. Will bring taking my better half behind the house this evening for a good one. He’s been coming at 8pm all week. Hopefully this cooler weather gets him on his feet earlier.
Looks like he was there in shooting light, so he’s really not a “prospect” anymore. Now, he’s a target. It’s time you move him into the 2021 Deer Chatter/Pics/Excuses thread.
Looks like you have something to work for! Go get em!Still waiting on daytime pictures but only small bucks in the light so far. This is also the curse of the cellular camera. I get woke up by the notifications from the camera and can’t resist the urge to look. Then see a nice buck and get fired up and can’t go back to sleep.
