2021 dove season thread

One shot one kill for me tonight. Saw a few on the highline driving in on the 4 wheeler but only two flying in to the decoys. Only one flew away.

3 shots, 2 birds. Sat by a water hole that’s usually pretty good. Just didn’t see many birds.

Ellis County was HOT. I've been hunting the same place for 36 years and after the drought 10 years ago, the flyway changed and we'd struggle to find a couple of birds over two days. We found a new spot last year and hit it this year and it paid off. The two of us limited out Wednesday night in about an hour, Thursday morning in an hour and a half and then again in an hour Friday morning.

Two for two last night over sunflowers and muddy banked ponds. Singles and pairs flying periodically but no big groups at all.

Well I have done worse....not much worse though! I had the 3 and took a pic, then one last bird flew in and landed at the pond as I was taking the first pic so I had a do-over on the picture.
