Lost all 3 tomato plants over the weekend. Wife and I were outta down one night, came back the next evening and all 3 had fallen over.

Had them in those dinky tomato towers but hadn’t pruned them in forever. I’m guessing one fell and got the others.

Live and learn. First year really trying to grow much.

This is my learning year.

I didn’t know you had to prune a tomato plant. My cherry tomato plant is a little wild right now. Is producing though. Quickly growing out of the cage.

My eggplant plant is producing. Have two big fruits right now.

Jalapeño and sweet pepper plants are producing.

Bell pepper is producing but they look a little funky currently.

My Okra is starting to produce too.

I planted 3 “small potato seeds”. Supposed to grow a lot of those little potatoes. I read that once the plant flowers and the flowers wilt, 2 weeks after that you harvest. 2 plants only had one potato each. One plant didn’t have anything. I need to research this whole issue…

Reports all over of failures. If your producing veggies your doing good. Okra doesn't count though as it loves this miserable heat. We have some things surviving and producing but it really is a rough year for many.

Red bell peppers are looking good
Maters are hanging on, making a few, but this hot weather is tough on them.
Taters are ready to dig.
Okra loves hot weather and is exploding.

Got the okra gathered and we are spent.

What a poor year here. I'm going thru mater withdrawal lol . We had a few things that did good but it wasn't the maters. Peppers, eggplant ,okra, are still hanging tight and fruiting. The sweet potato vines look good. We'll know how well they did in abouts 30 days. I put in a 2nd round of taters in hopes of more.
Tonight we'll seed in some cold hearty stuff.

Been picking and grilling jalapeños off the plant every-time I cook steak.

Shishito peppers are still growing good. I give those to my Mexican coworker though. He said they’re very very hot.

Waiting for my eggplant to fruit again… got two very good fruits off it and it hasn’t done it again.

Next year will be better. I’m pretty pleased for my first ever year of gardening.
