Those redear sure are a pretty fish. Got into a mess of them at American Horse lake years ago. Went back a couple times after that and could never do as well.

I caught 2 this morning in about 30 minutes. 1.13lbs and 1.12lbs makes for some ultralight fun! .....The wind and the biting flies picked up so I called it a day!​

Garrett have you ever been up here at the old pawhuska city lake? We have some monster perch of all kinds a lot of folks fish it with ultralight equipment I heard it was the best sunfish lake in the state I don’t know

I got in a little time before another thunderstorm sent me packing towards the car (again)....I caught 3 this morning, one went an even 2lbs and the other was just under at 1lb 14oz. . I think I hit the 2lb`er in the mouth , I didn`t even have time to work the bait and it was game on!....Both were fiesty and give me a little tail dance and a nice fight on light tackle. I even had a Bluegill attack the craw. I was working the top with a Z Man 2.5" Mudbug on a Gamakatsu's #1 hook. (Pflueger Trion 120 - `5 Uglystik Lite Pro - 6lb Trilene XL) C&R---<*}}}><
