The 308 express in a lever was a flop too. My first thought when I heard about is how cool it would be. When I found out that the cartridge was rimmed, I was out.

If we knew ahead of time what bright idea was going to be to the next Manbun cartridge, we would all be rich.

Some cartridges just don't make it, regardless of how great they are.

I first read about the .307 and .356 winchester cartridges in 1985. I bought a Win 94 chambered in 356 win, two yrs later. It weighs about 4 oz more than the same gun in 30-30, and delivers twice the energy.

Unfortunately, Winchester Arms was building crappy guns during this time, so why mine shoots well with a scope, the original rear sight dovetail was cut crooked.
