[QUOTE="swampratt, post: 2503439, member: 15054"] I guess when i ordered my .308 10fp a few years ago i was of the mindset that longer barrels were more accurate and produced a great velocity advantage. Then i start hanging around a crowd other than the redneck back woods hunters. I hear that the 20" barrel is the way to go or even 18"..Not the 24" that i have on my .308 Cleaning the gun i have always noticed the typical shiny skid marks the bullet makes to the inside color of a new barrel at the muzzle end.. My gun has always had a 2 small areas at the muzzle inside that do not look like the rest of the marks. Now back to reading more and looking at Tactical Operations Tango51 rifle it wets my whistle and i now will be having the barrel cut down on my .308 check out these articles.
