The bullets were cast in a NOE 36-182 mold, the one that has three pins, flat nose, cup point and deep hollow point. Here they are after being shot into gallon milk jugs. And here they are. the one on the bottom is with the flat nose pin, the middle the cup pin and the top is using the deep HP pin.

These were shot into 4 one gallon milk jugs filled with water at 50 yards. Powder coated with red Harbor freight. The flat nose went through 4 jugs and stuck in the 1/2 inch plywood backing of my target holder. The cup point hit the plywood and bounced back into the 4th jug, the deep hollow point base ended up in the third jug with a fragment that went through the 4th jug. The cup point and the flat nose destroyed the first two jugs. The deep HP made a mist of the first jug, made a 3/8th's inch hole through the second and ended up in the third. So either the cup point or the flat nose work for me as a timber bullet for pigs and deer. The deep HP might be the worlds best raccoon eliminator. The load being 21.3 grains of I4227 shot from a 16 inch barrel. Alloy is 50/50 WW/soft lead maybe pure.

What was the expansion on the flat nose? And are you loading those hot ? Seems the velocity is killing the hollow points but works well with the Flat point.
You loading for deer or SD?

The flat nose averages .610 and velocity should be no more than 1900fps so not hot for a 350 Legend. Bullet as cast and gaschecked weighs 186 grains. In my experience with hollowpoints and cast bullets is they often fragment like these did. The deep hollowpoint took 30 grains off the weight of the bullet, they averaged 155 grains with gas check. Planning on hunting deer and hogs with it or just plain plinking. Fun gun to shoot.

Semi along the same lines (and for those interested in 350L bullet options). I actually did gel testing for the 350L with some of my loads.

Obviously, only use the load data at your own risk

Wow thanks for posting. I don't have any Lil gun but I have some 1680 which I am going to use with the Hornady 180 XTP. Those are some fast speeds.
Yeah. I found all of the book data I had to be grossly understating the velocities I was getting. I thought maybe I just had a “fast barrel” but I’ve had a couple 16 inch ARs in 350 and all were basically the same. I know of a few people using the 357 180gr, you’ll just want to work up slow since “technically” the rifle is made for .355 instead of 357. I know of a few people who just size the 357 down to 355, and some that run it as is.
