OkieJoe72 what is it that your rifle is doing with the 38 special it does not like?

My Rossi 92 .357 Mag does not like wad cutters at all. Will not load. The semi-wadcutters is not much better. The 158 grain round nose works perfect.

My CAS load in .357 is 2.0 gr Trail Boss and 105 gr RN powder coated bullet.

A 6 yo, who had never shot, emptied 5 rounds without a blink.

Tried some mouse farts, 1.8 and 1.6 gr.
At 1.6 gr, you could see the bullet leave the barrel and hit the target. 2 out of 10 rounds did not make it out of the 4.6" barrel.

1 do not load lower than 2.0 gr. But I have gone down to a 95 gr RN powder coated bullet.

Feeding issues. It doesn’t like any type of 38 special for quick cycling, but I’ve got it going my way now with the 357 case. Round nose are definitely the most reliable. Thanks for the input.

Good to know. Didn’t know powder coated bullets were allowed. I was under the impression that the bullets had to be lead only.
