Awesome to see all the replies, I figured there would be people on here that appreciated it, but in general I don’t run into people that want to shoot it

As far as I am concerned, my 629 Mountain Gun is a 44 Special that I can shoot magnums out of if I want to. I don't especially want to. Several Magnums are in my stable, including two Colt Anacondas, a couple of 29s, and two 629s. Nothing chambered on 44 special, even though I think it is a wonderful cartridge.

I have oodles of 44 special brass and I probably have a few of my hand loads around. I also have a nearly full case of Federal 200 grain LSWCHP that I got several years back. When I get settled, I have got to get back into reloading, so I can feed my 44s.

I have a Cimarron 44 Special. I’ve always enjoyed shooting 44 Special in my Super Blackhawk and S&W Model 29, but felt a dedicated 44 Special was in order. I need more brass!!
Love that cartridge!! 503E5C26-A367-4AAF-98C0-C6E8C2F25DE4.jpeg

Years ago I cabbaged onto a 4" 24-2 with .44 Spl brass. Running modest velocity loads (7.5 Unique with 240 gr Keith SWC on top) the thing just didn't please me. If it had been a 4" 29/629 I likely would have kept it.
