So about a year ago I purchased my .458 SOCOM believing I had no use for a 5.56 or .308 AR. I guess go big or go home, but when I bought it I also purchased forty rounds of SBR rounds which were flat nosed copper plated. These rounds fed perfectly through non modified GI mags. So I went to reload my own rounds and I bought Berry’s bullets flat nose and starline brass. Now the rounds hardly feed if they do they get hung up in the chamber not fully closing the bolt and also scar my brass terribly. I believe I did everything I could modified the front of the mags, crimped the rounds and opened up the arms on the mags. It seems I can sometimes get a round to fully chamber but when the bolt tries to pick up the next round it hangs up with the empty jammed in the ejection port or doesn’t fully chamber.
