Well the plans for a stupid fast engine for the truck are on hold now that I got a Pontoon boat.

I pulled the heads off the 385 stroker and put different heads on with different springs and pulled the solid flat tappet and stuck in a comp magnum 280H.
It should still hold it's own I would think but MPG and cruising and boat pulling should be easier.

We will soon see.

Thanks guys!
I got it when I was 17 from my dads drinking fishing buddy. His wife got it for him in 1972 for a wedding present.
He got divorced and drank too much did not do much with it except install a 1965 425HP 396 from his super gas drag car.
Dual 4's and 625HP at the crank.
He never installed interior, glass or brakes into the truck.
I got it all for 700 bucks.
Girlfriend got pregnant a year later and I sold it to my fishing drinking buddy.
I always tried to get it back.

My buddy let it sit outside for 15 years just like my dads buddy.
One year my wife got it back.. As a birthday present for me.
I let it sit for 2 more years and decided it needed to come to life.

Spent 3 months on it and made it as you see in the link.
One of those NOT FOR SALE deals.
I have been offered quite a bit for it.. you can say the day 2 idiots met. Him for offering me that much and Me for turning it down.
That has happened 2 times.

Pinto front suspension ford 9" out back with ford truck springs Explorer sway bar in the rear..I had a 300ZX bar in the front.
Modified bars of course.
Honda steering knuckle.
Ford flex fan on chevy engine and Harley Davidson signal lenses.
Ford van gas tank and early mustang sender and float assembly.

many more things on it .. My HYBRID.

Man I can't find my ported cast iron Q jet intake and I am all out of Good aluminum aftermarket ones like Edelbrock Performer RPM or Holley Strip Dominator intake.

I need to port this marine iron Qjet intake I have and slap an adapter on it, a spacer and carter AFB 750.
Getting out the grinder.
