I was not there, but the first bullet probably took all the bite outa the kid.

The other officers reacted poorly and went into shooting gallery mode!

I say keep officer #1 that shot first and only one time!

Fire and blacklist the remaining officers that were on trial!

Its called sympathetic fire. Again, dont be a drug using thief robbing people with what may be a firearm and police will never even point their duty weapons at you. Its as if kids arent taught about actions and consequences.

I'm not going to armchair this one, but there is a lesson in this for anyone that carries a gun. When in a very tense situation, the first very loud sound; in this case the non lethal round going off; starts a whole bad decision chain of events. This is the "bang! oh sh*t someone is shooting, I better be shooting too". The thought process is hey who shot? It could be the suspect/ guy I'm pointing my gun at! If someone thought he needed shooting I better shoot too!
This has happened many times through our history. Happens in the military, happens to law enforcement, and personal self defence. Case in point was in New York city. Police were holding a suspect on his porch at gun point. He was in his underwear and had his hands up( yes he was an absolute violent dirt bag). Suddenly there a was a loud bang in the alley by the house, latter determined to be a trash truck dropping a dumpster. The police shot the suspect 56 times, he was unarmed. There were 7 officers involved and all of them said.... well my partner shot so I knew the bad guy had done something that needed shooting. I would say this happened here as well.

I wasn’t going to post in this, but I am now. According to all 6 that fired some type of weapon it was NOT sympathetic fire. The 37/40mm Less-Lethal (NOT “Non-Lethal”, that’s not what they’re called) was not the first round fired. On top of this the Officer that fired the Less Lethal stated she only fired it because it’s what was in her hands, and if she has her pistol out she would have shot him too. The bottom line is he did meth, robbed the place with a pistol, didn’t follow commands, removed the pistol after told not too, dropped it, and reached him his back pocket/pants. As a result 6 people who were actually there (not keyboard commando types), perceived him as a threat and fired their weapons.

this is what I mean when I say you or I would have been charged with murder. There's a fine line between too much and qualified immunity.

Five officers who shot and killed a 15-year-old armed robbery suspect are now facing first-degree manslaughter charges, according to officials with the Oklahoma City Police Department.

On Wednesday, KFOR obtained body camera footage and security footage from an officer-involved shooting that happened back in November when OKCPD officers were responding to an armed robbery call near Western and I-240 at the Okie Gas Express.

“Get on the ground,” officers are heard yelling on body camera video.

“Don’t do that. Get on the ground,” an officer yelled.

“Drop it,” another officer is heard yelling.

In the surveillance video, 15-year-old Stavian Rodriguez is seen climbing out of the drive-thru window holding a gun.

The video then shows Rodriguez drop the gun and then reach toward his pants before being fatally shot by five officers.

Rodriguez was shot 13 times, according to the autopsy report that KFOR obtained on Wednesday.

The five officers, Jared Barton, Corey Adams, John Skuta, Bethany Sears and Brad Pemberton are all now facing a first-degree manslaughter charge.

While police said Stavian refused to comply with their commands, making suspicious hand movements, eye-witnesses told KFOR that he appeared to be pulling up his pants after he dropped the gun.

No other weapons were found on his person.

According to the court documents, after dropping the gun, Stavian “put his left hand in his rear left pocket and his right hand in his front pocket or waistline.”

That’s when Officer Sarah Carli allegedly fired a less lethal round, and the other five “all unnecessarily fire lethal rounds.”

The documents allege Stavian had no other weapons other than the firearm.

The documents also read, “A cell phone was recovered from the left rear pocket he had his hand in at the time he was shot.”

A sixth officer, Sarah Carli, who fired a less lethal weapon, was not charged.

Rodriguez’s family and attorneys have been pressing the OKCPD for a copy of the body camera video for months.

On Wednesday the Oklahoma City Fraternal Order of Police released the following statement:

“Officers must make life and death decisions in a split second, relying on their training. When an armed robbery suspect did not obey police commands, five officers perceived the same threat and simultaneously fired their weapons.

A loss of life is always a tragedy and we know these officers did not take firing their weapons lightly. The OKC FOP stands by these officers and maintains they acted within the law.”

The five officers are currently on paid administrative leave.

Back in December, Rodriguez’s accomplice, 17-year-old Wyatt Cheatham, was also charged with murder, because he was a party in a crime that resulted in death, according to investigators.
The D.A. is probably in George Soros’ hip pocket.
