My wife and I have signed up to be "whole-body" donors. After our organs are harvested, the rest of our bodies will be used for other purposes, whatever those are. They weren't concerned with how old we are, so it should be helpful in multiple ways. According to what I understand from the conversation a couple of years ago, once they are through with what is left, what is left will be cremated and given to our family.
I hope for my "leftovers" to be scattered out somewhere, preferably in the Colorado mountains somewhere.
