That is correct, and actually the type of foam used is the denser thinner stuff that doesn't absorb water so it can easily be wiped down with a soapy wet cloth. I'll be getting a cheap adjustable sawhorse today to hold the barrel. Was thinking about some thick velcro straps that would go all the way around the barrel and sawhorse to hold it. Plan on doing duct tape for now to hold the separate pieces of barrel together. Have a new chrony on the way so will try again this weekend, with barrel only until I feel everything is secure and good to go, then will add chrony.The idea of using the coil to hold the foam in, is so it can be removed and washed before that happens. The OP has done some research on this.
