Don't know anything about the rifle or round but for $17K+ I'd prefer it to not have any scratched on the barrel, stock and trigger guard. I mean, how much does one shoot that rifle to actually get that buggered up?

Doubt it...pictures are fresh as far as I can tell. Probably someone thinks they can flip it, or realizes they made a dumb financial decision and will try to recoup. It'd be really fun to know what the reserve is and how close it matches the rock island auction pricing though.
