F350/F250 or an Excursion? The Excursions have a module, the trucks have a relay...........and about 50% of the time it was neither and is a bad glow plug harness.

Yeah you can test the relay and plugs themselves via the harness connectors with a test light or multi meter

Did you test the relay? Its not very hard if you have a test light or volt meter. Lots of videos on youtube for that process. No reason to swap it without testing.

I’m getting a test light tomorrow . The question still remains though, if the relay is bad do the glow plugs stand a chance of being good.

You won't notice one or two bad glow plugs even with really cold temps unless maybe a puff of white smoke at start up, but it will crank fine. If one entire side is out or both sides due to relay, module or wiring harness you'll for sure notice lol. Here's to hoping it's just the relay!!! :)

If it won't start its not because all the plugs decided to die at once. Will it start or not?
