I picked up some surplus 7.62x51 FMJ ammo and it seems to be fine, but the projectile looks a little different than I am used to seeing.
The bullet itself looks silver-ish and clearly doesn't look like it of copper jacket variety, so exactly what is it? (pic below)

Not a huge concern, just curious to understand what I have.
PS The seller claimed it was of German origin (DAG), has the NATO cross on the bottom of the brass and does have DAG in the brass.
