All the comments about checking out everyone who comes into contact with your children are 100% spot on. In addition to your children’s friend’s families, you MUST INCLUDE teachers, coaches, youth organization personnel, ministers and church youth leaders. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH.
We represent sex abuse victims on a regular basis. I’ve had more of these cases than I’d like to say. These monsters are smart enough to get themselves into positions where they have access to kids. Positions like teachers, coaches, ministers, and youth leaders. They then groom children.
And what is so sick is that ALMOST ALWAYS there is someone is the school, church, or youth organization that KNOWS something is going on, but won’t say anything (even with these individuals are under a mandatory duty to report). That has been true in every case I’ve been involved with. Unfortunately, our DAs won’t prosecute these individuals for failure to report. It’s mind boggling. They’ll send a young black kid away for decades for weed, but molesters and their enablers don’t get nearly enough time.
Be vigilant with your kids. Check their electronic devices. Take note if a teacher or youth leader gives them a phone or tablet (that’s a very, very common sign).

I’ll echo this. Not much makes me “see red” but these reports do.
We have two little boys. I’m not too worried about bumps and bruises but this stuff terrifies me.

A REGISTERED sex offender has been connected to the case of two missing Oklahoma teen girls.
Officials said the search for Ivy Webster, 14, and Brittany Brewer, 16, ended after Jesse McFadden's property was searched.

Who was Jesse McFadden?
Jesse McFadden, 39, was an independent contractor and registered sex offender who lived in Henryetta, Oklahoma with his wife, her daughter, and her two sons.
He was born on August 24, 1983, and ended up behind bars in the early 2000s after he was convicted of first-degree rapein McAlester, Oklahoma.
McFadden was in jail for almost 20 years before being released in October 2020, according to the Oklahoma Sex Offender Registry.
What happened to Ivy Webster and Brittany Brewer?
On May 1, 2023, the bodies of seven individuals were found at the McFadden family residence when police searched the home in connection to the disappearance of Ivy and Brittany.
The sheriff's office later confirmed that Ivy, Brittany, and McFadden were among those who were discovered, according to ABC4, but at this time, the four other victims have yet to be identified.
Ivy and Brittany were last seen on April 29 and an Amber Alert was later issued just hours before their bodies were found.
It is believed that the missing girls were staying at McFadden's home for a sleepover with his stepdaughter, according to FOX23.
McFadden was due in court on May 1 to stand trial for allegedly illicit child pornography charges, FOX23 reports.
My brain is still trying to digest the thought process of a woman with a teenage daughter and two sons getting married to a registered sex offender.......
There are a lot of sick people running loose out there.

It happens far more often than most of us would like to think it does. Word from the gal's mother was that the perp lied about much of his past, and claimed other aspects of it were just minor incidents blown out of proportion. Hell, Charlie Manson got marriage proposals by the dozen, and even accepted one of them, IIRC.
