Not surprised
When sports figures take a knee....I take a knee on watching them on TV or attending their games.
Saw this last evening on a news site and decided to not read it, but couldn't resist the temptation of hearing the Coach's excuse for allowing not only the kneeling, but allowing their little 8 year old backs to be turned as well. I have nothing good to say, so I will not say anything at all..

The coach was right, it could have been a "teachable moment", but he decided to teach the wrong lesson!

Well since it seems everyone in the stands was talking, laughing and walking around...the taking of a knee really isn't that much more disrespectful. At least the kids were still and silent.
I would've gone down on the field, yanked my kid out of the lineup, and gone home.
