Thought they were non-profit?
Im betting that most of those rifles will go for at least $800, which they get for free. Im not a fan of the way CMP is run. Others will dis agree with me but. Seems to me that None of those rifles should go for a crazy price. Everyone should have a chance to get one for a low price.

Their operation is not cheap. They have to insure, ship, store, and secure all those guns and employ a staff to catalog, clean, inspect, repack, take orders, keep records and reship. Then whatever is left goes to find CMP’s shooting programs. I doubt a look at the books would show them being flush with cash...

Last I heard, and it’s been a couple years, the CMP had over $1 million in the bank in excess of their operating costs. Purportedly, it’s all earmarked for their shooting programs.
