Yep, that is a 14" factory rifle sighted barrel (I have the exact same barrel on my SBS). If he has this barrel and the 870 and the 870 is not registered as an SBS, he is advertising a felony.

Why do I have a feeling it's an ATF entrapment every time I see something like that .... there is always someone selling complete TC rifle + pistol barrel on gunbroker.

Yeah, I am tempted to let him know what's going on. It would be unfortunate for plain ingorance of the law to cause him major trouble.

If you maintain control over the parts necessary to reconfigure the firearm as an SBS then you have an SBS. It does not need to be installed.

I used to try to tell folks about stuff like this and every now and then someone would thank me for informing them about something they did not know, but the vast majority told me to "mind my own f@#^ing business", so I have stopped.
