[QUOTE="avtomatkalashnikov, post: 3409510, member: 42827"] well i wouldnt mind meeting up to shoot targets sometime. so i will have to keep an eye out for any kind of group meet-ups like that. i have quite a bit of ak's and the saiga 12 with a drum is always a favorite of most everyone that shoots it. i have tuned it perfectly where it has little to no recoil at all. everybody walks away with a smile after running a 20 round drum. its cheap and its alot of fun. always cool to check out other guns also. been interested in more exotic stuff lately like sigs and Fns and moving away from just ak's so its nice to see what other people like or have fun with. well i watched the video i posted by forgotten weapons and was a little bit disappointed with the performance of the kp9 coming in last, but to be fair it didnt seem like exactly all that of a fair match to me. they did have different kinds of optics on all 3 of them. i think a fair accuracy comparison would be straight out of the box from factory. i will say that at 25 yards out of the box i was able to put all my rounds in a 4-5 inch circle target with my absolute first shots just using irons, so i am highly impressed with the kp9s accuracy. heck the bullet holes were touching so i think it was like maybe around a 2 inch group maybe? it honestly took me by surprise. i have since put a eotech red dot on it for the cool look factor and have got it sighted in at 50 yards and it shoots great. now, i can not necessarily compare the 2 for being better nor worse, but i think the clear winner is the mp5 as far as quality goes and performance when it comes down to surgical pinpoint accuracy as stated above, but i also think the kp9 is a absolutely great alternative and it can do nearly the exact same thing. it honestly kind of falls down to the end user you know? someone with more experience with the kp9 like myself is going to do better in certain timed matches than others will do. the one really odd thing i noticed in the video though like others stated is that the kp9 in that forgotten weapons video was almost like it was having trouble knocking down some of the steel targets, like at least 10-15 seconds was spent fumbling with shooting the same targets again and again to get them to actually fall down. almost like it had less knock down power. he could have just not had a good zero and just knicked the targets also? which is odd since im pretty sure he used the same ammo for all 3 guns in that test. i can only speculate that its due somehow to the type of action the gun uses. the ak notoriously uses more gas to cycle a bigger piston style carrier with a bigger open receiver which is why this type of gun is claimed they are so reliable. anyhow, just my thoughts :) i think i will just save up for a sp5 and get one when they are available again for what hk is asking and not double from retailers and people taking advantage of the panic pricing.
