A sad tale of 2 guns.....Delayed

It sometimes takes about 10 mins for my 4473 to go through. I did a bit of research and found a lawyer, from I think it was Illinois, with a similar name who had been arrested for murdering his wife...I don't know if he was convicted or what, but other than that, the only other connection is a guy with a similar name who is or was the President of the US Crappie Fishing Club or something like that. Maybe that is a subversive organization? A group of terrorists set on infiltrating the US by Crappie Boat maybe? I didn't even know that there are such things as Crappie Boats, as I mostly like fish from the ocean. Or from the fish market since it's a long way to the ocean from Yukon. And I am not a lawyer so it can't be me that murdered his wife, plus I just checked and mine is in there putting on her makeup so we can take our Grandson to the zoo, which I think is okay with me carrying for sure after November 1st. Not that I am going to go out armed today, oh certainly not. I'll just stare down and maybe use a harsh word or two if some bad guy or guys decides to attack us.

Anyway, cool deal on winning two free guns. How do you like them?

I have a fairly common name, there is at least one other in our town of 20,000 and maybe two. But I've never been delayed. I do always fill in social security number, which I assume may or may not help.

You having to wait a couple days to get 2 guns for free isn't really a sad story.
I'm still waiting on my NRA duffel bag and knife I was promised when I joined the NRA.... 3+ years ago

That's ok. I really don't even want the cheap bag or junk knife. They'd just go in the trash can along with their renewal letters.

Get the upin and you should sail through. Or have the Oklahoma legislative bodies pass a law similar to Texas that’s says you are automatically approved if you have your CHL. You still fill out the papers, but instead of calling it in or typing it in, you walk out and they file it away. So much easier.

So, here I am at the Friends of the NRA banquet tonight. Tickets in the buckets and they have drawn all but two guns. DPMS Panther is up next, and they draw my number! They gave me the rifle with an escort to go do the 4473, and as I'm walking away the Glock 43 is being drawn, and danged if they didn't call my number again. Two in a row!

Fast forward to the 4473. Somehow I'm first in line, and get the form to the FFL. He calls it in and is told delayed so its set aside. 15 other folks come through, submit their forms, gets called in and walk out with the guns they won. Finally the stack of paperwork is gone, and only mine is left, so he asks the agent to go through it again.......delayed! &*^$%#!!!!
So now the wait is on.....again. I get delayed almost every danged time!! WTF???

I've never been delayed. I'm told it's because I have an honest face.
