I gave up waiting several months ago. I hope it is as great as expected. So many delays and excuses from AAC. The first version that was tested showed great numbers. When the production units were received the can did not perform. It actually was the loudest can tested of 19 on a P22. 12 months later a new core gets tested that looked good, yet no one seems to have one. AAC is supposed to make it right and replace the old cores. I thought before new units were sent out. So now 200 units are supposed to ship “soon”. The definition of “soon” has a meaning that has changed several times over the last 6 months. I’ve seen several wonder when they are going to get their core, yet the latest holds ups was supposed to be the finish on the tube. They wore me out 5 months ago so I bought a Spectre.

I hope the production Prodigy performs as expected. I’d really like to have a 2nd lighter can for a smaller pistol. Time will tell.
I’m not trying to knock AACs products. They have some nice stuff. I’ve got one of theirs waiting on paperwork now.

I think you are confusing the Element with the Prodigy. The Prodigy had the core problem and no date on the replacements. The Element is the one with the soon to ship 200 units. The Prodigy has the aluminum mono core and the Element has individual stainless baffles.

I am on the short list with Major Malfunction for an Element. I try to keep a few things cooking so I don't dwell on any single project. I did buy a Spectre some time back and love it! Can't go wrong with SWR.

I stand corrected, I was talking about the Prodigy. Everything I said applies to the Prodigy except them finally shipping 200.

Now that I think about it, I hope the Element Production cans work as good as the pre production model that was tested.

    Thanks for catching my mistake!

No problem, I had looked at the Prodigy and went with the Spectre because I like my stuff overbuilt.
I was going to use the Spectre on my Norrell 10/22 trigger pack but the Major told me about the Element and I was hooked. Looks like the Spectre will be sitting on the end of my shorty PS90.
