It doesn't matter. After 300 yards they ALL will need accurate ranging and accurate dope to hit where you want them to.

270 is flatter then 260 ar 500 based on this but it's really slim margins , but 270's are barrel burners

How could the .270 be a barrel burner? It's only 150 to 200 fps faster than a 30-06? My .270 certainly hasn't burnt out the barrel after a couple thousand rounds.

IIRC the .300 Weatherby mag is flatter at distance than my .270 even with a heavier bullet. .300 mag is purty flat but it's gotta hella bark.

Nailed it.
The .223 WSSM reached 4700 fps. Had it been a round ball, it would have fallen short. With the correct BC and bullet designed to fly, it set the world record.
