The loss of a Tupperware gun is nothing compared to the lawsuit that Academy could be facing. Maybe not in Oklahoma, but I could see the thief suing the store for injuries in other states.

Maybe they could have had a bigger theft claim and padded the insurance a bit if the manager hadn't jumped in...

Unfortunately that is the way things are for big box stores. Call management, but do nothing. Some of the stuff I saw, or heard about while working at Cabela's would make your head spin. Sketchy behavior, just give them "superior customer service".

If it was anything else, I would agree. But this was a firearm. If he was stealing it, you know it wasn't for just going to the range and plinking.

So I guess the takeaway is that a thief can go to Academy and just walk out with a gun unmolested? I gotta feeling those corporate numbers are going to change.
