22 victory is much more reliable. You have to constantly clean feed ramps on the 22a to keep it from failing to feed. Doesn’t even take many rounds to foul it up. I’ve owned one for almost 30 years. It has not left the safe in 15 years or so.
So no recall work?
I don't know how many were effected but mine had to go back and it was my first experience with a manufacturer recall. Took like 5 months to get it back

The safety recall in like 2008-2009? Mine is probably from the late 90s. First semi auto handgun I ever bought.

Oh c'mon people,,,
All you need to do to get your 22-A to run,,,
Is clean it properly after each use.

Which is what one should do with a target pistol anyways.

How hard is it to run a Q-Tip over the feed ramp every now and then?

I've had my 22-A for a bunch of years now,,,
It's a fine shooter and runs Federal Auto Match very nicely.

Now would I rather have a S&W Victory?,,,
Yes, but I bought my 22-A just 6-ish months before the Victory came out.

I do believe the Victory is a very well designed and good performing pistol,,,
But that doesn't mean that the 22-A is a dog in and of itself.

I have to drive into town today,,,
I'll stop by the local Academy just in case.

If they have one I wouldn't mind owning another pair of pistols to encase.
