What calibers & bullet type can I use Accurate #5 and 8700 for?

#5 is a fairly fast burning pistol powder. It is bit slower than Titegroup, sport pistol, N320, or #2. More like HS6, autocomp, N340.

It is used in higher velocity loads on comped guns. I’m not sure his it performs in standard velocity loads.

I haven’t used 2700.

Here are links to both of them

I think #5 was developed specifically for .45ACP NATO ball loads but it's pretty versatile. It's been awhile since I've loaded it and remember I got a lot of partially burnt kernels when trying to run light target loads. It's much better at full pressure.

I got a good deal on a pound of it, like half the price in stores pre-pandemic type good deal, so I thought why not? If I can’t find a use for it, someone else might turn up wanting some to trade or whatever. With powder scarcity I had to buy it and figure out if I need it later.

I have used #5 in 45 and 357 magnum for light and heavy loads.
You can use it in 380, 9mm and 40S&W also.
I have used it in 12 gauge for slug loads also and some use it for other shotgun loads.
