I had an '85 that looked just like the one in the video. It was great to watch him repair/restore it. I liked mine though. Bought it new and sold it 6 years later. Only had one issue, the transmission developed a shifting problem but it was covered under warranty. It was a blast to drive and cornered like it was on rails. Even did well in the snow since it was a mid-engine. However it wasn't fun to take on long road trips with that sporty suspension.Ahhh the Fiero ......... cool looking little pieces of junk!! Brother had one and he spent way too many hours keeping that pile of bolts going !! He finally gave up and went Mustang !!
My brother loved his for the exact reasons you did just couldn't keep it running . Eventually he ended up with a RX8 because of the cornering ability .I had an '85 that looked just like the one in the video. It was great to watch him repair/restore it. I liked mine though. An RX8 is not any better in terms of reliability. My old boss had an RX8 and it was on its third motor. My brother loved his for the exact reasons you did just couldn't keep it running . Eventually he ended up with a RX8 because of the cornering ability .
