This is a corporate headquarters, not a fulfillment or distribution center. Plus it’s in NYC, where the cost of living is likely double the cost here in OK. It’s hard to believe, but I bet that $150K average is accurate.

I agree. My wife watches that buying homes show and NYC apartments that aren’t rent controlled were running $2000 a month or more for 600-700 sq ft studio apartments.

Right after 9/11 the girl I was dating moved to NY for a job. Her Half of the rent was $1800 for a 800 sq ft 2 bdrm apt.

AOC - "Earlier this month, reports surfaced that Amazon was reconsidering its plans for its New York office, which led to cheers from Ocasio-Cortez. "Can everyday people come together and effectively organize against creeping overreach of one of the world’s biggest corporations? Yes, they can," the freshman lawmaker tweeted."

They definitely get what they deserve with her.

I'll bet her opponent she defeated in the primary is laughing his ass off right now. Meanwhile that Socialist idiot DeBlasio is flaying Amazon for pulling out, rather than focus on the real problem.

This is some sweet, juicy, delicious irony right here! :D

Sounds like Enid, OK in the 1920's. The city didn't want to run water and pay for drainage issues, so Boeing built their factory in Wichita..................
