I typically work 12 - 18 hours a day. Sometimes I just lose the desire to be productive and want to do something just because I enjoy it. Sometimes that can be something as utterly useless as sitting on the porch watching the dog and drinking a beer.

I know, I'm a horrible useless POS but I'm OK with that.

...from a reputable smith, sure. Matter of fact, I have a 1911 worked over by Jim Clark, Sr., with document to show it. My own homebuilts, I doubt I could get the cost of the parts out of them, because I don't have that reputation.

But I still enjoy building them, which is reward enough for me, and that's kind of the whole point behind this discussion.
